03 problems

Freind of my fathers bought a 03 right before it got cold here. Really nice scoot, but he had some running issues about 2 days after he got it home. Dealer took it back, and seemed to sort it out. He took it for a ride on Turkey day, and it started doing it again.
They have it back now, and I was wondering what exactly is going with it.
Has really low miles, like 8k or so.

I'm guessing there might be something wrong with it.
Being an 03, the fuel flange problem might not have been fixed.
It could simply need a new battery. The Revo isn't tolerant of weak batteries.
