Hello, My wife who wants her own HD bike loves the V-rods, especially the Nightrod. We went to sit on some and she just does,nt fit. I asked the sales guy and he said of course you can change the bars (I knew that) but you can only move the foot controls back 1 inch.I heard from someone you can go back 7 inches. Any one know if there is some truth to that. She would really like to get one if she could fit one.
She is 5 foot 2 inches and 102 lbs. She can ride and has no fear of what the bike can do.Thanks ahead for any input.
I'm no expert on NRS but you must be able to get mid mount pegs for it,other V-Rods have them?I think your talking about that she has trouble reaching the forward foot controls ?
Nice choice of bike..the NRS especially : )
Dude, POWER to your wife man, I am 6 feet tall, 176lbs and I own a 09 Iron. I got on the VROD (only wanted the dark bikes, I hate chrome), and thought that I was on top of a tank. Seriously, even picking it up from a kick-stand position was RIDICULOUS. If your wife can comfortably ride that even at her height and weight...she is a CHAMP and should get a damn medal of some sort.
My girl is 5'6'' and 120lbs and of course, loves the night-rod as well. The only thing is...she couldn't even get it up from the kick-stand position. HAHA. I was like " Yeah....if you get a bike it will be an Iron as well..." lol.
i dont know man, hard to tell you accurately without pics of the wifey... j/k.
I've heard you can move the foot pegs back considerably - but as far as specifically how much, i'm not sure... My wife loves the VRODS too and cant decide between that and a fat boy lo. (glad i didnt buy her that street bob!)

Yea she,s tiny but she,s one of those fiesty Italians and she loves to ride. She has a couple dirt bikes but the look on her face when she sit,s on a V-rod is one of wanting. She demoed an Iron but she did,nt like the power, not enough for her.
I ride an 06 Night Rod and it has mid controls. I bought it like new last year at a good price and love it. Maybe she should think used with mid controls. It handles great.

That may be the way to go but I,d sure like to know if you can get 09 or 10,s with mids or a kit to shorten those controls.
Look for a VRSCD. I know several short women, one is 4'11" that ride Night Rods. NOT Night Rod Specials. The put the reach seats seat on them and they are good to go.
