VRSCB or B: black engine case and frame, silver cylinders, forward controls, swoosh pipes
VRSCD or D or Night Rod: black enine and frame, mid controls and highway pegs, staight pipes for more torque and hp
VRSCR or R or Street Rod: mid controls, highest ground clearance, less rake, more lean angle, inverted forks, straight pipes
VRSCAW or AW: an A with a 240 rear tire
VRSCDX or DX or Night Rod Special: black bike with minimal options, 5 gallon tank, drag bars, forward controls, 240 rear, least ground clearance, straight pipes
VRSCF or F or Muscle: complete body style change, forward controls, dual pipes
VRSC SE and VRSCX were performance bikes and the first with the 1250 engine.
Destroyer: always a Destroyer. Pure drag bike. Can't be made street legal.
To answer your question, you have a DX. It's always a DX when talking to other V-rodders. It's only a Night Rod Special when talking to Harley sales people or V-rod neophytes. It's never an "NRS".
That's the most basic V-rod lingo and doesn't explain fully all the differences in the bikes.
