I put these on when I first got my VROD. They are very popular with VROD owners. They are just throwovers. Unfortunately my bike was new and I didn't pay much attention when I installed them and they rubbed and made a nice big hole in one bag.
So I took those off and put these on. They are also throwovers, but these are leather. The leather is very soft and flexible with these, so don't know how well they'll hold up but ok so far.
Thanks for the info. I put the saddlebags on hold for now but will be looking again when the snow starts to melt! I'll definitely check into the ones you mentioned.
