The first fill up was 33 mpg, the 2nd was 36 mpg, the 3rd was 39.8 and today was 40.2. I think that it is loosening up and maybe the 40's will be the highest it goes. About 700 miles on it. After breaking it in, I won't be as easy on the twist grip anymore.

The 1K free service that the dealer throws in with a bike is scheduled for next Thursday. even with rain predicted for two days during the coming week, I should have the 1K with ease. It is a dirty job but someone has to do it.
