Got my 12 NRS back from the dealer yesterday. they did the customer satisfaction recall about the grommet on the stator may "weep".
I was surprised when they showed me the kit they ordered from HD to do the recall. It was a new stator with the new re sized grommet. That had to be an expensive recall for HD. It would seem to me that they could find a way to improve the seal without a complete new unit.
It is an assembly so they just do the entire thing.
Is a 2009 Ultra Classic under this recall? I just bought this bike used from the HD dealer less then a month ago. Not sure how recall's work but will I still be covered since I'm the second owner? Do I just call the dealer back?
Forgot to mention, my 09 is now leaking I believe from the same place! Hear alot of others with the same year, same problem just using RTV to "fix" the problem??? I'd like to get it done right and have HD pay for it if they are suppose to.
