I have an 06 and have never had a problem with the battery. It sat in my garage all winter, I fired it up about every other week or so for a few minutes. But I never had a problem with it.
Sup everybody?
Tomorrow I ll have my bike back from my customizer...
Removed cat for a little bit extra hp s and db s...
Removed mufflers from stock Night Rod exhausts
Added a mechanism that changes the sound from low to really loud.
And I found this awesome site...man I love this guys. http://www.tejasthumpcycles.com/about_us.htm
They got a lot of stuff for our bikes.
Adjustable suspensions, works while riding it, a couple of awesome up side down forks.
Cant wait till I finally install that stuff.
Does anybody know this guys?
Got any other manufacturer for suspension to suggest?
Have fun riding.
The adjustable exhausts are awesome.
I met this guys in Dutch Super Rally 2007.
They got some short of mufflers that when you press a button, the sound is really boring and silent. But then, you can increase the sound. You can also have preset settings. The button is really small and easy to hyde somewhere in the bodyframe, or on the controls.
They also look very beautifull for the Night Rod Special, all black.
Unfortunatelly though, they also happen to be freaking expensive.
Here is a link to their site. http://www.jekillandhyde.nl/
If you could see them in real life (not on the web) you d want one. For sure.
But...really expensixe. So maybe you can customize them yourself.
Only problem I see with this exhaust is that the fuel curve will not be right in one of the settings. Too lean when open if it is tuned for closed or too rich when closed if it is tuned for open. How do you handle this?
It will be right when fully open.
The silencer I only want it for when I ride through silent hoods at night, when I dont wanna bother people, when I see cops...or when I ride by some hospital.
Plus...it is really childish to use the Power Commander. Software for it is like 60kb...
If I am about to do something permanent, like go on a big but silent trip (doubt it) I just switch the programs.
Also the Power Commander is really nice cause you can mess a little bit with the mixture by hand. Haven t done it yet cause I am scared but you can make it produce a richer mix on low rpms if you wanna ride easy, richer on medium rpms if you wanna ride fast but not squeeze the engine, richer on high rpms if you wanna go fast.
Anybody knows any after market suspension good for the V Rod?
