move forward controls ?
Hi everyone !
-first post; first question:
I'm considering the new V-rod Nightrod Special.
Is there a way to change the forward controls to mid mounts, like on some of the other V-rod models ??
Thanks,
max

Definatelly. You can also get that done in the dealership. Ask them to do it while you are waiting for the paperwork to get done and the license plates to be ready (were I am from it takes about a week, I dont know maybe in your place you go, you pay , you ride away at the moment).
Keep in mind though that you have to check firstly if this riding position is for you, because it is a very short bike. And it is a cruiser...can you ride for countless hours on mid foots? I am considering to put midfoots for the passenger sometime under the seat for more luxury.
You can also add more gel on the seat to move you forward, closer to the foot controls and have more back support.
I also have to tell you one thing. I had a crush and the bike slided for more than 20 meters on the street. The front foot controls absorbed all the crush, including a part of the sashi that bended. That part is ment to be bended in case of an accident as it is really easy to replace it. It only takes 20 minutes to do so. I dont know where will all the shock go if you have midfoots but I dont think you will face any problems. I am about to add them iron thingies on my bike for protection even though they suck when it comes to style. Safety comes first. I know this guy, he was riding when all of the sudden a car opened the doors and he took the door with him on his protective bars. If he didn t have them, he d have one leg now.
In case you have any plans for customizing on the future check out (customizing and tuning options).
V Rod Rules so bad. So damn bad. Especially the Night Rod.

Check out uj034's VRSCDX, it can definitely be done.
