Well my 06 Night rod finally made it to my house. I am having a hell of a time with this dealership. I am in Iraq i just bought it. Well they dropped it tring to get it ready for my wife to pick it up. Well they said they were going to fix it. They never called to update my wife even after she called and they said they would return her call. So they drop it off yesterday well the turn signal still is strached and the other side they didnt drop it on has two huge gashes in the exhaust. They said they would fix the turn signal but the exhaust was like that. My wife told them they were crazy and after a 30 min conversation they said the would put a V&H exhaust on it. That is great but for that much money you would think they would take a little better care of there customers, and if they didnt say anything about that what else havent they told her. It only had 2k miles on it when i bought it. I thought of contacting H-D corp directly but dont know if it would do anything? I bought Harley cause all they do for Vets and I love the VRSC series. What do you guys suggest cause this is a bunch of BS if you ask me.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. If you dealership was the one who dropped it, I don't understand why this is even an issue. I'm assuming this is a used bike sinceyou mentioned it has 2000 miles. If you bought this bike in X condition and the dealershiptries to deliver the same bike inY condition, then they really need tomake EVERY attempt to deliver the bike you bought. Perhaps the management at the dealership is unaware that this is happening?
Maybe your wife can call the managementat this dealership and explain the situation to them? I can't see a dealership dropping abike thennot making everyattempt to fix it.
Keep your head down overthere and let usknow how this all turns out.
Yeah the dealership said they would fix the lens but it took an additional hour for arguing to fix the exhaust cause that is not the side the dropped it on. The scratches werent on there. They are going to replace the tips were the gashes are with V&H slip ons. I just think these is a bad impression for a new, young Harley owner. Espeacially the fact that Im over here serving and that is Harleys backing is vets. The calls from day one not being returned. The management new cause she talked to the sales manager. So I would think if I contact the H-D Corp. That they would do something cause they are give Harley a bad name. I dont think I am over reacting. Thanks for the reply.
Your situation sucks, but remember that Dealerships are independent licensees of Harley-Davidson. This dealerships is what is making the deal suck. I'm sure that when you are able to get on the bike you will realize that you made the right purchase at the wrong place.
Thanks again for the response and I do know I bought the best bike. The only thing I thought H-D would to be invovled in dealerships that are giving them a bad name. I love my bike I watch a video and look at the pics ever night along with the wife and kids of course. I hear nothing but great things on this bike from you guys and ever one is dedicated to making a name for VROD with the traditionals who refuse to ride and see for them selves and I think that is great. I am a member here as well as 1130cc.com so I encourge all youlls efforts. Thank all of you for your patriotism and for all the vets your service as well.
