Afternoon, all! I just became a motorcycle rider last weekend, a week after buying my first bike. I've been an equestrian for almost 25 years so aside from having to shift gears, it's been an easy transition. I purchased a 2013 Softail Slim and I love it. My boyfriend encouraged me to pursue motorcycling (he has an Electraglide Ultra Limited Low) so that we can ride side-by-side, and now that I've gotten behind the handlebars, it's the best decision I've ever made--good luck to him getting me back as a passenger. I'm elated when I get on the bike and go for a ride, though my Slim is a pretty big beast for me (I'm 5'2" in my riding boots) to handle. Confidence is still a little shaky but I'm working on it, just need miles and experience.
Looking forward to joining the Queens of the Road as well as chatting more about my Slim and just learning all I can. My boyfriend and I will be moving from New England to San Diego with the Navy next year and I'm already looking forward to CA riding--no more snow! Take care, all!
