My name is Jim and I live in Frisco, Texas. I am new to the forum and just purchased a used 2008 Sportster low from the original owner with 3600 miles on her. I am 53 and have owned 20 or so bikes in my life but this is my first Harley. I am loving it so far. Gonna do an oil change this weekend. I look forward to all the knowledge this forum will provide me on my new ride. Thanks
I also wanted to add something. I have heard from people for the last 20 years how Harleys were junk and rode and shifted rough. I have to disagree with both statements. This 1200 Sportster rides great, is very quick and shifts like a dream. My Honda VTX1300 I had before this bike shifted horribly. Belt drive is so much smoother than shaft or chain. I also love the EFI.
