When I put down riding "for good" we were all probably still on "dial up". A lot of it was financial, a lot was pressure from the spouse, and more than I'd like to admit was; I just wasn't riding.
But every scooter that went by caught my eye, and I've been watching the classifieds lately, keeping up with what's current out there, and decided to take the plunge.
The local HD Dealer listed a 2005 Road King, which has long been my favorite FLH, not being a big fairing fan, and the pictures were gorgeous! My wife and I went over first thing yesterday morning, they had it sitting outside, by the front door, and we were both a little disappointed.
I mean it IS an 11 year old motorcycle, but it looked showroom new in the pictures.
We walked on in, and BAM! 2013 magic! A shining steed straight out of the storybooks! My heart melted, my common sense evaporated, I begged for a dotted line to sign on!
