yet another newbie
Hi, all! Greetings and salutations from the DFW, TX area! Been lurking for a couple of months and decided to join.
I've only been riding since Nov. 2006, 43, male,VERY short-legged, and havewanted to ride for a long time but "practical" modes of transportation and finances have won out until recently. I have 4k+ miles under my belt in six months.
My first and present bike? Forgive me, for I have sinned...I own a 2004Honda 750 Shadow Aero! I could possibly repent, though.
I might be in the market for an upgrade in the future, and am seriously looking at the Sportster 1200 Low. I rented one recently, and put 331 miles on it in the seven hrs. I had it. Sweet little bike! I'm also currently limiting my budget to around$10K or so. My short legs really limit me on my choices, so I need to get a motorcycle that "fits", regardless of brand.
So I hope I'm welcome here in spite ofbeinga "red-headed step-child" METRIC owner of the forum!
