1st Harley-Bad experience so far
Hello All! Great site btw.
I just purchased my new 2007 1200c Sportster (Black) had it at home for a week, notice a oil leak and the gas light stayed on, even with full tank of gas.
Dealer came and picked up bike (due to oil leak) and had it for a week.....my bike had 71 miles on it. Welp they told me that the oil was from the factory and it was due to over filling (which I don't believe, but not sure) and the gas light is due to a faulty sensor which took the week to order and replace.
I went to finally pick up my bike this past saturday and since I am soooo picky I checked the bike out and noticed a dent on the bottom of thegas tank...I know it wasn't there and I know I didn't do it but the dealer is saying they didn't do it either and I guess now they are going to call harley to see if I get my tank replaced?
Does anyone have any suggestions about handling this? I am wondering if I got a bad bike........and all i ever wanted was a Harley!
Any advise is greatly appreciated!

They are probably correct about the over filling of the oil. Very common. The sensor could happen on any bike. Stay on them about the dent. This has nothing to do with your bike. Don't let it leave a bad taste in your mouth. Once you get through this everything will be OK and you can get some quality riding in.
