Picked up a new to me 2012 Sportster 48 last weekend. While it's not my first motorcycle, it is my first Harley. I've had my eye on a 48 for a long time and I finally found the one I would bring home.
The downside is that there are some cosmetic issues resulting from being left outside uncovered for some period of time and questionable styling choices that included lots of flat black bbq paint and faded hockey tape applique.
The upside is that it runs great, the maintenance is up-to-date and someone spent good money on it as well with some nice parts that I will either keep or may sell off over time.
Regardless, I am stoked to have it in the garage and can't wait to get some more seat time on it and chip away at the the to-do-list to make it my own.
I've already been learning a lot from the posts on here and looking forward to contributing over time.
