Hello All,
I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I am new (sort of) to the Harley Davidson world but not new to riding. I tooled around for a while on an old Yamaha two stroke and fell in love with riding, always looking toward owning an HD. I've spent the last number of years in school, grad school, having kids, etc. but I have recently managed to convince my wife that we both need to get bikes and ride. It is a miracle that I've done so; she is an ER nurse and has seen a lot of carnage from many irresponsible drivers and riders alike.
We recently went to our local Harley Davidson dealer just to check out some bikes, I was eyeing a 1200 Iron while she fell in love with a beautiful Softail Slim S with 12 inch apes, Stage I, Vance and Hines Shorts, black and loud like you want it. We are still in the research phase of our adventure and I thought it would be a good idea to register to this forum and gain some insight form all those here who know so much more about the ins and outs of Harleys that I do. I also thought the forum would be a great place to possibly see bikes for purchase that don't make it to a dealer or Cycle Trader. I look forward to learning much from everyone here. Thanks for reading my lengthy first post.
