Well , been lurking around this forum for awhile now and decided to join . Long story short I've been riding for about 15 years and decided last year that I would buy my first Harley . My last bike was a 13 Vaquero . Unfortunately last Sept I went down on it and broke my Tibia and did a lot of damage to my MCL , ACL , ect . I did 8 months of physio and I still wear a knee brace and probably will for quite some time . During my physio I was told I should consider ending my riding enjoyment and pick a lifestyle that would be easier on the knee . Well #&$@ that !! I sold my Vaquero and decided that this was the time to follow through with a dream I have of owning a Harley . The Road King has always been my favorite . Back in june I found a 2010 Road King Classic ( Bone Stock ) with 12000 km on it . Bought it and put 7000 km on it . Now that it's winter I've decided to take the time and make it my own . As much as I love the look of the Classic , I've decided to put stock aluminum rims on it , 14" apes , hardbags and do the stage 1 upgrade . This spring I'll do the compensator as well . So far so good ! I've still got 5 months before spring comes along and I should be done long before that . From the time I have spent looking through the forum I have found a lot of useful information . I'm looking forward to being a part of the forum ..
