Hey,
Where is everybody?
Oh, yeah, Sturgis is going on.
I was there in 89. None of my T-shirts fit any more. I had a burgundy and grey 85 FLH. That was livin!!
Sold that in '93. Doin / ridin this n that.
A couple of months ago I bought my friend's dark blue 85 FXRS Low Glide. 17,000 miles. Sat for 5 years. Been through it pretty good.
In a shop now for tires, and another set of eyeballs to look it over.
Keihin butterfly carb and drag pipes now. I bought an OEM exhaust that I think might fit coming (took a chance, gotta see it up close).
No rush, DMV is closed for new transactions in NY. I'm in Brooklyn, fogettabou!
Anyway, man stuff has changed since my first '85 Evo. Like my 50 pounds and glasses!!
Funny to be able to look up used parts on line and have them delivered.
I can't wait to get these last few issues straightened out and take it on the highway.
Welcome from San Francisco. I was born and grew up in Brooklyn and still have a thick Brooklyn accent when I go back there and get together with my cousins and sit and talk. I went to Midwood High School and Brooklyn College I'm also a former fxr owner. I bought it new in 1992 and put 130,000 miles on it. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoyed mine.
