Obligatory Intro
Greetings HD ladies and gentleman and lowlifes. MXJunky has become the proud new owner of a '21 Street Bob. (You'll have to excuse the third-person schtick, it started as a joke on a dirt bike forum 17 years ago and kind of became a thing.) MXJ started on three-wheelers back in '87 and switched to two-wheels in '93. He's owned around 25 motorcycles since then, mostly motocrossers and cross-country dirt bikes with a handful of dual sports and a wild 10k mile fling with a sportbike but this is MXJ's first HD. Anywho, prepare to be inundated with all manner of mundane inquiries as MXJunky shakes down his latest steed.

Stupid question:
MXJunky's FXBBS has one of those oval air filters and it seems awfully exposed in the event of riding in the rain (this happens sometimes in the PNW whether you like it or not). Do y'all just throw that little panty-hose thing back on the filter and continue to moto along or what?

Just in case you have not done both of these two important items!
Be sure to add an Avatar of your favorite shot in the USER set up for the small picture others will see in the top left corner of your post with your USER name.
And most importantly a Signature Line in your USER set up for your bike model, year, and all the letters that Harley recognizes it with that others see at the bottom.
This enables others to know your exact model if you ever ask a question or another member interested in it may ask you a question about it.
