Good morning folks, or as we say in Wales, Bore da folks.
My name is Mike, I’m using the username of Whacker as it was my fathers nickname in the Royal Navy in the 2nd world war.
I live in a town called Bridgend, located in South Wales, in the UK. Great rides around here but the weather can be changeable.
I own and ride a 2006 Wideglide which I’ve owned since 2009. Not much a one for shopping bikes. My other bike is a modified Yamaha vmax.
Ive ridden the Harley all around the Uk and Ireland, France and N Spain.
Im retired, so theoretically could ride anytime, but grandchildren keep you busy!!
I look forward to hopefully meeting some forum members at some time.
oh yes, I forgot to mention my Harley best ever trip. Me and 2 mates flew to Vegas, hired Harley’s and 3500 miles later and 3 weeks later ended our trip in LA. We drove thro, Mojave’s desert, Route 66, Grand Canyon, monument valley, Bryce and Zion parks, Hoover dam - bloody hot, Death Valley Lake Tahoe, San Francisco highway 1 to LA.
what a trip. The Harley’s performed amazingly well, even 8 hours in Death Valley at 145 Fahrenheit.
