Default Newbie here

Greetings,

I thought I had registered with this forum quite a number of years ago, but I am not sure. Anyway, I registered or re-registered today.

I live just north of Tampa, Florida, am 70 years old and am into antique / vintage motorcycles.

My collection includes:

1984 Harley XR1000
1990 Harley FLHTC with turbo. Fast bike for a bagger.
1996 Sportster, custom, buell engine, rubber mount fxr style frame.
1956 KHK. Flathead, unit construction, 900cc predecessor to the Ironhead sportster. (I forgot about this one on the original post). The original 1952 K model was a 750cc version. The KH was the 900cc version and the KHK was the 'hot rod' 900cc version with polished heads and ports and a supposedly hotter set of cams. The ironhead sportster replaced the model Ks in 1957. Mine looks nice, but the paint job, while very good is the wrong color and scheme.
1961 FLH, stroked and bored to 93 inches
1947 UL, flathead big twin 74. Just put an aftermarket disc brake kit on the OEM springer front end so I could actually stop the thing.
1941 Indian Chief. Beautiful bike.
1981 and 1982 Honda CBX-1000. Great running bikes, but the seating position is not all the comfortable to me.
1974 and 1975 Suzuki GT750, 3 cylinder, 2 stroke water cooled. Water buffalo or kettle is how they are referred to. One runs well, the other is a 'project'.
1985 and 1984 Kawasaki, ZN1300. These are the 1300cc, inline 6 cylinder, water cooled bikes. These are beasts. Weigh close to 1,000 pounds wet. Has every OEM stock do dad and gizmo you can think of, very few of them actually still working though (Compass, trip computer, compass, compressor for the shocks, ...). But they are both fuel injected and run well. 120HP, which at the time was very notable.
1950 Nimbus. 750cc, 4 cylinder, air cooled, OHC, exposed valve springs and rockers, shaft drive, automatic advance, foot shift and hand clutch. Way, way, way ahead of their time. Made in Denmark. I had it imported.
1923 BSA Model F with chair. 1000cc, side valve V-Twin. Very interesting, although not very effective braking system. I had it imported from the Netherlands. Runs well.
2 Sportster projects in various stages of completion.

Ride safe,

Clint

Welcome Clinton, to the HDFORUM.

I hope you continue to enjoy your ride here.

Only as a suggestion, by me as a USER, create a signature line similar to my one line on my bike information.

The year, model, and all the letters Harley assigned to the bike. It will appear at the bottom of your post.

Doing this will be helpful if you ask a question. All Harleys aren't the same with many changes and variations over the years.

Of course, you can add it to any thread with a question.

You can also add any other details you choose and a favorite picture to the signature lines.

If you like, you can also add another favorite picture for an Avatar you see at the top left of all your posts as a postage stamp.
