I am pretty new here, but I have to wonder why people post the same "welcome from <fill in the blank> in response of people posting in this section? Is it to build up their number of posts or ???

I don't get it. They add nothing to the forum, yet many people seem to do it regularly.

What am I missing here?

I post in the new members section to bring my post count up because Terry pays me 50 cents for every 100 post and I'm working my way to a new Lego set. [8D]

We do it to be nice and make people feel welcome and not ignored. Your negative view of someone's good intentions says alot about YOUR outlook now, don't it ???

When folks say hi to you don't you respond??
