Hello everyone. This looks like a fun and informative forum with some straitforward honest folks.
I don't own a Harley -or anything right now. I totaled my Kawasaki Nomad about 2 months ago and will be in the market for a new bike as soon as I'm physically able to ride again.
I've been riding (legally) for 28 years and hope to be back in the saddle by spring. Unfortunately my bride isn't on board with it -having nearly lost the ol' meal ticket, so I'll be limited on what I can spend. Which truthfully is why I'm not buying another Nad. If I could spend 12k, I would.
I have a "short list" of bikes I'm interested in and the Sportster is on it. My brother has been riding his Sporty for years and wont ride anything else. I think the 883 is in a class by itself for under 7.5k cruisers. I think that bike speaks to the real reason we all started riding in the first place.
Any advice about purchasing a new sporty is appreciated. ~J
