Hi,
Been browsing the site for a little while and decided to join. I am in currently working on a deal on a 05 Road King Classic(perfect shape, 10k on the clock, bright yellow). I had a closefriend who has passed away, and his parents asked me if I would like to purchase the bike...of course Im all for it. Problem is they kinda want me to name a price, I have looked at NADA and dont wanna low ball, but it says 10500 to 14k. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks, Nate

Sorry to hear about your friend and another ouch for you choosing the price. The only thing I could think of is get 3 qoutes from NADA, Kelly, and maybe a local Dealer. Show them your "investigation" and see what they say. Hopefully they'll take the smallest offer...
Good luck on the deal and do post pics if it works out....
Sounds like your friend's parentswould like to have the bike in your hands and the meaning behind that is more important to themthan the price. I wouldn't give them 3 quotes. That will put the decision back on them which they obviously don't want to make. Do your research. You'll know what the value is and then make them that offer. They'll no doubt accept (based on what you have said about naming your Price) If for any reason theyresearched it later then they would see you were fair.
My heart felt sympathy goes out to you and his family. Welcome to this one.
