I closed the deal on my scoot today! An 08 Denim Blue SG, cruise, Brembo ABS, and security. 2 whole miles on it. It will stay with the dealer another couple weeks till my parts are all in and the 103 big bore upgrade is done. Originally I was going to wait for a bike from the factory to ship, but my dealer was offering 15% off of parts that only lasted till the end of Jan. I asked my sales guy to find me what I wanted before then. They went someplace out of state to pick one up. Aside form the new jugs, I decide to go with the 204 cams, Reinhardt True Duals, the Ness Big Sucker, and the SERT.
After a decent break in and the 1000 mile service, I’ll load it up with Mobil 1 synth, and get it on the Dyno for the final adjustments. Maybe early summer, but not later than the end of July.
I hope to get very near 100 each TQ and HP, while getting great sound and reduced heat off the motor.
I purchased a few other goodies right away too:
Color-matched quick-release king tour pack with SG styled passenger back rest adn rack
Quick release passenger backrest, medium
Sundowner touring seat
Coming soon:
Clearview 9.5" windshield
Highway pegs of some kind
Hog Tunes w/amp
This f***ing bike should be the shiznit. I got just what I wanted, and I can harley wait to see how it performs. I gave MSRP for it, but with all the extras and HD labor --- way too much $$$$$ (depending on how it feels on the open road)!
I’ll posta few pics in a couple weeks after I’m able to roll it away. Maybe a little sound file too J.
Props to wifey for goinig along with this. She's got her own and is anxious for a permanent riding partneragain so that probably helped.
Welcome from Southern Maryland!!![sm=americanasmiley.gif] That is great about your wife already riding!! Send us a pic of that beast when you take delivery!!!!
