1st Harley

She's pretty stock and well-maintained so she's got lots of life left in 'er.
I rode some dirt-bikes as a kid but got married young, and never even thought about it except in passing until our 25th anniversary. I was poking around on E-bay, looking at small bikes, and my wife asked what I was dreaming about (usually it was boats or classic cars). She was surprised at the bike, since we hadn't really talked about it. Her dad had one when she was a kid & she had fond memories of riding on the back of his '69 Bridgestone GTR350 (the bike, not the tire). I hadfound a nice deal on an '82 Kawi LTD440 who's owner had learned & was moving up to a Harley. Anyway, she noticed the listing, waited until I wasn't around & bought it for me! She handed me the print-out & said go get it! I drove to NYC & trailered it back....I still didn't even have a license. I took the safe rider's course at our local community college & put about 5000 miles on that bike before the snow flew. Next spring, we sold the 440 & bought an old Goldwing 1100. Put about 8,000 miles on the 'Winglast summer and sold it in August, knowing we wanted a Harley. Sold a sled, acouple boats and a bunch of other stuff. Last week, I sold a Buell Blast I had traded my Scrambler for (just to have wheels) and my wife pitched in the rest.
This weekend, I drive to CT to pick her up!

Welcome from a new member in Florida!
I'll be down your way soon; we'll be in FLA the last two weeks in Feb. Just wish I had room to bring the bike!
Thanks, pip!
