Default Hey there
I own an 883 sporster hugger with the 1200 conversion and stage 1. I have put on forward controls, bullet styles turn signals and a touring seat with sissy bar and back rest. I've been riding for almost 2 years and have owned the sporster for most that time. Last riding season I put on 5000 miles and got hit by a car with my girlfriend.

We are fine. I should have mentioned that. A car pulled out in front of us and I got us around the car mostly and just clipped the car. Her foot ripped off his license plate and she got ejected. I slid under the bike for 15 feet or so. She broke her collar bone and had to get a plate on it. I walked away with some scratches, a really bad pulled hamstring and a messed up thumb.
My nylon jacket melted but saved my arm and my side big time. My helmet got grinded through the outer shell and her outershell was just scratched.
