Hello from Glasgow Scotland
just joined forum, located in Scotland, just retired from fire service after 34 years, had a bike constantly since '75, and restore classics as a hobby, I have a 1965 BSA Lightning Clubman, last bike before my Harley was my BMW R1200ST which was absolutely brill for what I needed it for,... going to my work. I used my bike 12 months of the year to go to my work, hail rain, or shine, but not using it so much and it being quite a bulbous bike I decided to change, I looked at plenty , Ducati, Guzzi,Triumph, but plumped for the Harley. I looked at the street rod, and the sportster, but gotthe chance of2003 Anniversary FXDX Dyna Sport with 2200 miles on the clock for agreat price, great price for rip off UK anyway!! The price of Harley bits and pieces is shocking, close to dollar to pound!
What do I think of it so far? I like the looks, brakes need a good pull, but they can be sorted , vibrates like dear knows what!, I don't think it should vib that much at speed, I'm used to big twins Nortons etc. but this is blurring vision, hopefully get it sorted will check forum for ideas; but I love the sound and the bike so hopefully will get everything right and enjoy it.
That's about it
Cheers
Robert
