Another new member here from Alexandria, MN. \\; Right now I ride a 800cc Suzuki cruiser (I believe in my profile pic), it's a great bike and I love it. \\; Also, for fun, I occasionally take out my wife's Ducati Monster which is a ton of fun when I need a quick speed fix. \\; So why on earth did I join here huh? \\; Like alot of folks out there I'd like to have a Harley, but to me I would really like a classic, something with a ton of character and a real head turner. \\; Not that there's anything wrong with newer models or anyone else's bike, I respect other's choices for their two wheels. \\; So right now I'm leaning towards a mid 70's Shovelhead. \\; But I'm very early in the process and I want to be sure I get this right and find myself the perfect bike, hence my joining up so I can start researching and discussing what folks love and hate about their rides so I can avoid any pitfalls or disaster prone models/years.
Look forward to learning a lot and maybe I'll see you on the road!
I personally always felt I would be buying someone elses mods and character buying used. I chose to buy new and plan to add some of the touches and mods that make the bike all my own. Paint changes, custom parts and things onto a bike can make it have all of todays technology and alot of the old days style.
