wiring
working on frame-off restoration/customization on 79 xlh Roadster. eliminating turn signals and re-routing brake light to side. when re-wiring, what is the best solution to connections coming togather inside headlight housing?

It depends on the amount of wire and room at the connection, but where I can I like to use soldered-on terminals wrapped in heatshrink on the wires and then connect the two together and wrap the terminals in a good tape.
You can always just solder the two wires together and heatshrink them, but the you cant disconnect them without cutting...the up-side is that the connection in better.
