Another Newbie checking in
Greetings from North Carolina, I have a 2008 XL1200L, I’m new to HD Forum but not new to life. I have dreamed of owning a Harley since my teens and now that I am 56 I finally ran out of reasons not to own one. I have ridden off and on forever but never made my dreams plunge until now. "I got mine" at ***’s HD in Asheboro NC, a fine bunch of people. I bought it on June 14 and have a few miles short of 2000 miles on it.
I do have a question for all you seasoned veterans out there. The stock seat is OK for around town but if you want to ride more than 50 miles it becomes rather torturous. Please suggest an alternative
