Thanks for the welcome.
I have now actually had the opportunity to see my bike! It's not as bad as was described, but at the same time worse.
First, the good: the bike appears to be completely intact...I got a bad description of its condition.
Next, the bad: some *****-effer swiped my ride just so it could sit in a shed for six years without turning a wheel. Somehow it woulda felt better if someone had been riding the thing.
Finally, the ugly: my bike is a virtual rust bucket, covered in dust and dirt. It's actually a 1990 and had the aluminum cases and heads...wow are they pitted and ugly...and every piece of chrome has a layer of rust. I'm tempted to just get it running and ride it as a "rat" bike.
So there you have it: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly...(appropriate given my sig, no?)
When I get home from work tonight I'll post some heartbreaking pix over on the Sportster Forum.
