Default Hello and how do I get some help

I am a new member who found this site while surfing for some information on how to change a headlight on a 2003 Roadking. Hello to all and any advice? In particular, I can't get the darn retaining ring on the front off. Help!!!

welcome to the forum - I haven't had the need to change one yet, but someone will come along & tell you how it goes.
(on autos, normally you just remove the screws in the ring (or just loosen), and twist the ring to remove it).

Thanks. The trim ring has a sheet metal screw at the bottom which I removed. The trim ring spins but I can't get it off. I'll keep checking for someone who has changed one before.

Welcome to the forum, lots of good people and info at this forum. To get the ring off, first remove the screw. Then it has 2 little lips at the top at about 2 and 10 o'clock. So put both hands on the bottom of the ring and as you pull it forward also lift it up towards the cieling. It should pop off. They are a little hard to pull up. Then dont loose the little rubbers that go on the lips. Good luck.[sm=exactly.gif]

hi the headlite should have a rubber ring inside the chrome trim ring which keeps it from rattleing, just tug on with your finger nails or carefully with a flat blade screwdriver! let us know if you get r done!

Welcome aboard! Were you able to get the ring off?
