I just came across the forum and after a quick look around thought this might be a good place to sit and review some good info.
I currently have a ‘04 Heritage which will be torn down soon for eh winter rebuild. Current configuration is a stock motor with some minor tweaks. I installed a SE breather, Power commander III and V&H Straightshot HS pipes right after the 500 mile check up. Now after close to 40K miles it is time for the rest of the build. I replaced the stock windshield with a Dragonfly bat wing fairing last spring and am now headed down the path of a 95” build with ported heads. Of course with this many miles it is also time to address the cam issue. At this point I am still deciding whether to go the roller chain upgrade or gear driven cam route. Some of that will be determined by the pinion shaft run out but it looks like the upgrade to the HD roller chain may be easier and less costly.
Given I live in sunny Southern California I really do not want o have the bike down for too long. Weekend riding is my primary stress relief.
Anyway – I am glad I found this forum and hope to be able to connect with some folks from my area.
