i have the fork baffels... they were installed on my Rg when I purchased it. I couldn't say whether they're effective funnelling the wind off me, or onto the cylinder... but I've ridden in the rain, and don't recall any rain updraft....

Thanks to all who replied, I will spend the 25 clams and give it a shot. Will be making the trip to Laughlin in late April, hope to beat the storm on the way out but would'nt bet on beating it on the trip back home.
As a newbe to this site, I am still trying to figure out how to manuver but will get the hang of it.
