New to HD, bought an o9 fatbob at first I was impressed with the feel of my new ride. have 1 k on the meter now, Im not likeing the vibes, after a 100 mile ride im ready to bail out.I like the way harley uses real metal and real chrome. but the vibration is too much for me, maybe im missing something here, Is this what everyone is so excited about. Im not bad mouthing harley, its a fine well built machine, I guess I should have bought the Vrod muscle. I know it doesnt shake as much, sorry folks I know im gonna get drilled for these comments PS I Owned a Suzuki bandit, a BMW R1100s,A suzuki M109r, a BMW r /80 a slew of yamaha 650s a suz vstrom a suz sv 650. and yes im tired of plastic bikes.
I just purchased a brand new 09 Fat Bob and the longest ride has only been about 60 miles and i can feel the vib but nothing to bad. I love the feel of my bob and would trade it for nothing.
Welcome from Surrey B.C. CANADA. HANG IN THERE, you will get used to the way Harleys feel and handle. Oh, and the vibration, its all part of owning a Harley. Some vibrate more than others. I own a 04 Fatboy with a Twin Cam B motor which is rigidly mounted, so for me it was no different than my hard tail chopper. I know the A motors are rubber mounted, they might be a lot smoother. Though i havent rode one my self. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
