Bought my Fatboy about 8 months ago and now have the fever. I sold the Corvette (pictured here) and bought the bike. I had that Vette for 20 years. One day a friend was over and made the comment that my Vette "was a pretty nice piece of furniture". This got me wondering just how much i really drove it. Turns out I averaged 1300 miles a year over that 20 year period!! This got me thinking that maybe I should look at getting into something different. I could have kept the Vette but am rapidly running out of room with my quad and dirt bike hobbie. So I put the Vette on Ebay and believe it or not I sold it for top $ to a guy in Japan. Throughout the transaction I was really concerned that it may be a scam but once the $ were transfered into my account a broker took possetion of the car and I started looking for a bike. I always loved the solid rim look of the Fatboy so I found one that was used and bone stock. I did this thinking that I would set up the bike the way I wanted it not someone elses idea of what was cool. I really appriciate all the posts here. They're entertaining and really informative.
Oh... and in the last 8 months I've put 3000 miles on my bike. It's great to have a new hobbie that I can really get into. Pic 1- one of my old hobbies, Pic 2- my Fatboy when I bought it. Pics 3&4 My bike today. Pic 5 Yamaha 350 Warrior with a Kawasaki KZ1100 (punched out to 1300CC) with Nitrous. Fills that need for speed!!!
That's my story...
