hello there

My wife bought me this 1979 shovel head in August. It belonged to my very dear friend of 12yrs. He was shot and killed on his birthday by his girlfriends astranged husband. After his death the bike remaned in family hands for a while till it was taken back and sold by his soon to b ex wife. i bought the bike from someone who didn't respect the bike and who named the bike with white spray can LOW LIFE. My buddy john was not a low life. so over the months i have put a new springer front end open belt drive, new gas tank, fenders. Just doing the things he could not do to it. The bike is a ridged frame. and there would be a lot of time that john would buy a new bike and threaten to sell the shovel. Be cause it was so ruff on his back. i would go over there a week later and that shovel would still be sitting there. the bike needs some more work. my goal on this web site is to meat some people with the same love of bikes and knowledge of shovel heads and mite be able to give me some honest to god hints and tricks.
