I am not a Harley owner yet. I am still looking and that is on reason for finding this forum. I belong to a British car forum and if this forum is a helpful at that one I am in the right place.
I am looking for an older bike because I don't ride enough and too many other hobbies deter a large investment for a newer bike.
I want a bike that is comfortable on a fairly long ride but I don't want a touring bike because I ride the back roads a lot and want something that is easy to handle. About the only long ride that I make is the Rolling Thunder ride to the wall. (about 400 miles one way)
I am going to look at a 1997 Low Rider next week. It is a one owner bike. The guy died and his widow is selling the bike. She is asking $8000. Is this a good price and would the Lowrider be a good choice?
I appreciate any help and I will probably have a lot of other basic questions when I finally find a Harley
