I have to admit I didn't look very hard yet, but how do I remove the windshield from an '05 FLSTNI? It's the HD one. I see one alan bolt on each side but I also see other connections that may or may not be holding this thing on... and there's also some kind of spring/wire deal on each side that is lifted up and over another bolt.
1. put left and right forefingers inside corresponding loop of each spring/wire deal
2. pull up on both loops at the same time
3. while pulling up, gently pull away shield (making sure the 2 "hooks" on each side of the shield clear the rubber grommets)
Give your shield a close look and you should be able to figure out the steps above in a snap.
DISCLAIMER: Above steps are for a Road King, not sure if same for Softails
Thank you but there's no way this thing is coming off without tools. The spring things aren't loops. I know what you're talking about but this isn't them. Let me go play...

Sounds like you have the "older" style (not the quick detach). Yup, bring out the tools.
The Heritage has the Quik detatch, but the Deluxe may not, depends on what the owner got who bought it..May be bolted on..
