Whats going on everyone? Well for starters, my name is Howard. I ride an 02 FXST. the only upgrade i have on it are the Python pipes that it came with. The reason I joined this forum is because my scooter is leaking at the primary and its starting to worry me... not sure exactly how much fluid i've lost, but then again, i dont know how much is actually in there!! If any of you guys (or girls) give me a suggestion as to what might cause this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Aloha, how to check the Primary case oil level on a 09 Touring model, engine warm, bike level(not on stand), remove clutch inspection cover, if fluid can be seen it is adequate.
Not sure if its the same for your model and doesn't help with your leak. My frist purchase was a service manual, well worth it. Try a search lot's of good information here.
To learn how to get around in here Go to the main page and click & look around, it would also help to read the Rules.

Congrats!! Welcome from central Washington. Great site and even better people. Use the search function and snoop around a bit before asking questions . Just a little brotherly advice. Glad you're here . Geezer
Welcome from SoCal. the service manual will be the best money you ever spend. Often times the shifter seal between the transmission and primary will bust and the oil will look like it is coming from the primary as it drips down the primary to where the drain plug is. The primary takes 26 oz's.
