I have spent a ton of money modifying my bike to get it close to being a bagger...problem is, it's still a softail. I'd buy new, except mine is paid off. hate to start over with payments.
Thanks guys... this is all helping to spend the money. It's a 14-0 balance towards the RK just now but the sun is shining on the FB outside my office as we speak and the heart strings are strumming. Well it looks as if tomorrow is decision day so as not to mess the dealer about with this, or risk loosing the deal. Interestingly, the dealer tells me that the RK is being dropped from the HD range next year along with 6 or 7 other models and this RK that he has is the last Sunglow Red one at the UK importer. Does anyone know if the RK is being dropped for 2010 model year?
Thanks again fellas.
To trade back in and not lose anything, would be a heck of a deal...
And now U know U like the RK, better, why wait..
Ur not the 1st person to change Ur mind after a short time..
I know for certain from dealerships around me (SE London Kent and Sussex) that due to the fall in the value of the pound against euro there is a shortage of bikes in the UK and that dealers can't get enough. Boatloads of French and German guys are coming over to buy their new harley here .....
I think you've got to buy the bike you will be happy with - the FB is never going to match the touring comfort of the RK because of the rubber mounted engine an stuff...
There's nothing to be embarrassed about... who cares its only money the dealers are interested in
