Hey guys, I am looking to buy my fist bike and I was hoping that you could give me some suggestions. I was considering the iron 883. I like the looks of the bike and the price is hard to beat. I also like the fact that it's only an 883 since it would be my first bike. Just wondered what you all thought about my choice.
If you buy a new 09 sportster you can trade up in one year.Dealer should give you msrp off any upgrade. Softail, dyna touring.Dont pay msrp for a sportster though ,you should get dealer to come down some. Good luck and Welcome from NJ

The Iron is a sweet bike. Depending on several factors, you may "outgrow" the 883, but if you love the bike, it can always be upgraded to a 1200 for a few bucks to get more kick..... Plus as already stated, you can get the MSRP back (or whatever you negotiate on the initial sale) if you decide to move up to a Big Twin model in a year.
