First Harley
Just bought my first Harley. 2009 FXDC. Rode metric bikes for years. Haven't had any bike for the last 10. To sum it up: There is nothing like a Harley! I find I don't need to go fast to impress others. Just the simple fact that I'm on a Harley says it all.
Pleased that I hadn't forgotten how to ride defensively in the past 10 years. Just bought tail light and head light modulators. But I'll still watch out for all the cell-phone-distracted idiots out there. I've been riding a month now and already came across a few.
Just a couple of thoughts: I thought they were joking about "H-D" meaning "hundreds of dollars". They were not! And chrome is expensive, but that won't keep me from buying it!
Grew up in Texas but I'm in Northwest Mississippi now. Lot's of good people around here.
