Just a quick introduction. I bought my 1st Harley in May; a 2006 Dyna Lowrider. Her name is Pearl and I absolutely love her. Will try to download pics asap. I am a 52 year old grandmother whol lives in Texas. Are there any new riders out there who are willing to share their experiences thus far. I took the A+ Riding Course before I bought Pearl and ride her as much as possible. Also, it is time for the 1,000 mile service and I have a couple questions there. Do I have to take her to the dealer or can I service her myself as long as I keep all receipts and records. Hope to be a contribution to the site and I appreciate any and all advice. Talk to you all soon.
For the 1000 mile service I took mine to the stealer just to be sure everything was kosher, honestly if you have the service manual there is not anything you can not do yourself from what I seen (once I received my manual).
I would like to know where you are located. I'm looking at bikes. I have ridden off and on since I was 12. But, it has been a while since I had my own bike. I've been looking for a while, but can't decide. I keep thinking I want a really big bike; I understand they can be lowered (I'm 5' 3").
It sounds as if your very happy with yours. I would love to know how you decided on the bike you bought.
Please share with those of us who are still looking; there are a number of us on this forum.
Again, welcome!
