Just wanted to stop into the New Member section and say hello. Just picked up a slightly used 2009 FLHX in black pearl. This is my first Harley after having owned Guzzi's, Ducati's, Triumph's, KTM's, BMW's (RT-P) and at least one of everything from Japan.
Never seriously thought I would own a Harley until I test rode one of the new Street Glides. I had ridden one in the past and loved the engine, transmission and batwing, but wasnt impressed with the handling. The new frame sealed the deal for me. Kinda scary owning such a spendy motorcycle, but what the heck? Its only money
The motor came with slip-ons, a super tuner and filter. My next purchase is going to be a King Tour-Pak and Sundowner so my wife and kids will be comfy.
So far this looks like a great forum, lots of info and good people it seems.
Welcome...nice ride...make sure you get the 4 point docking HW and look at the back rest options as well as the tour pack.... At my age the tour pack makes getting on and off the bike more challenging....
