I guess it's time I introduce myself and start posting. I bought my '09 Street Bob in April. I currently have an '02 BMW 1150 GS Adventure, '06 Triumph Tiger, and an '06 Suzuki DR650 also. Been riding since 1968 when I was 10. Learned on my Fathers Honda S90 and then he got me a '66 Suzuki 50 of my own. I have been riding since with no lapses always owning a bike.
I started riding Vtwin HD's in 1973 (I had several of the Itallion singles before that) When I got a 1947 UL.
I like the Street Bob because it reminds me of my old bobbed FLH I had in the late '70's and early '80's. I may add a Sportster as I had a '74 XLH in high school to round out my nostalgia cravings. You can't go back in time but you can relive it a little through motorcycles.
I live in Columbia and work in industrial maintenance. I like to ride in the mountains, I have a place near Sevierville TN in Kodak. I have an old beater truck that I use if the weather is really bad but I ride almost everyday to work all year round. I usually ride about 20,000 miles a year.
I joined this group over a year ago and have enjoyed reading the post. Everyone seems like they are good people.
Welcome to the forum from a South Carolina gray beard. I'd love to get ahold of that '47 UL for a restoration. I restore old trucks('41 Plymouth,'46Dodge,'47 Hudson).Come see us in Edgefield. Ride safe. Beezy
