Here is something to check on: Harley sells lots of 'aftermarket seats' for their bikes. One style that many Softail owners like is called the 'Badlander'. I have this aftermarket seat for my Crossbones as well as the stock sprung seat. Ask the local Harley parts guy if the Badlander seat fits BOTH the FLSTN and FLSTSB (and that it is the same stock number). I suspect the problem might be in the difference between a Softail with a 200mm rear tire (and larger rear fender) and the more narrow version. BUT if that same Badlander is used with both bikes than the Crossbones seat, using all of the extra mounting hardware, should work as well. Remember, you have to buy a lot more than just the Crossbones seat. The full mounting kit with seat runs about $450US. For that money, Mustang sells far more comfortable touring seats. Good luck.
