Allow myself to introduce...myself.
My name is Matt, I'm 29, and I'm an electronics engineer.
I've been riding motorcycles since the end of 2004 when I took the MSF course at the Navy base where I work (China Lake) aboard a Suzuki Gz250.
As I am from the go-fast school of thought, my first bike was a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja 500R. I transitioned up to a 2007 Kawasaki ZX-6R and have had fun with it the last couple of years. After going to Sturgis with some coworkers last year (yes, aboard my Ninja), I decided I'd like to pick up a cruiser. I didn't originally like the styling but for some reason it's grown on me a lot.
As you can see by my sig I'm planning on picking up a 2010 Harley Davidson Street Glide in black denim in the very near future. I was able to demo ride a vivid black 2010 SG at Victorville HD last weekend and was amazed at it. While the feet forward riding position and lower redline were both kind of weird, I was amazed at how the weight of the bike disappears as soon as the kickstand goes up. The ride was a lot of fun and it has only cemented my desire to get the Street Glide.
I've got a bunch of rally dates marked on my desk calendar that I hope to ride to (we trailered to a cabin in Wyoming for Sturgis last year and rode in each day but far from the same as riding all the way there), assuming my coworkers and associated girlfriends / wives don't chicken out.
Anyway, that's it from me for now.
I'd post pics of Sturgis but I can't see photobucket at work. My ride report from there is located here if you're curious.
