Hello everyone! I have been lurking for some time now and now it is time to become a member. I live in Las Vegas Nevada and have been a metric owner for most of my riding life. My friend Jerry finally shamed me into purchasing my first Harley and I havent looked back since. My first purchase was a 07 FXDB Street Bob. After selling my metric I planned to use the money to purchase a 2010 FLHTCU Touring Ultra Classic when I turned 55, about 2 years from now making that my birthday present to myself. Well the Henderson Dealer had a test ride event going so I thought what the heck lets go as a family and have a look see. When I walked into the dealer I fell in love with a bike on the floor. After talking to the sales person he suggested a demo ride. I was trying to politely refuse him when my girls, Kimmy (wife) Sophia and Zoe (twin 11 year old girls) persuaded me to go on the ride. I did not have my gear so I borrowed a helmet from the sales person and off I went. I must have looked like a dork with my red wool jacket and everyone else having the proper gear. Dont get me wrong I always tell my family no gear no ride. After the ride my wife looked at me and said do you want it? Of course I proceed to let her know what an amazing ride it is. The rest is history I guess I am ahead of schedule for my birthday present! I want to take a moment to thank everyone that has submitted to this site, I have found a wealth of information and tips. It has help me with my Street Bob and even the Touring, like how to remove the bat wing.
Welcome! I'm here in Vegas as well. What part of town are you in? I know you'll love the bike and there are a ton of areas with nice clear roads for great day rides. I'll be looking for ya on the road!
Hey Vistavette I see that you are a drummer! Do you play at good springs or mountain springs. I know a couple or guys that play there. Of course you always have to know someone in the band. I used to play bass but that was a long time ago... See you out on the road!

No, never played either of the those places. I recently parted with my last band after about 4 years; we did a number of venues around the country and Las Vegas. My last show was the LV Biker Fest on Oct 1st.
